Abstract

The arrangement for mounting and dismounting water meters and similar devices comprises a support (1) made of rigid metal having a U-shaped profile. This includes a central horizontal branch (1) with holes for attachment to the floor or a wall, and two vertical wings (2,3). Each of these wings has a central hole through which a threaded section of tube is fitted. The tubular section includes a hexagonal head by which it may be gripped. The water meter is fitted within the U-shape, with input and output pipe connections made to the fittings on the U-shaped support wings. The meter includes an expansion element (10) which is able to extend or reduce the overall length of the meter assembly, so that it may either be clamped in position within the U-shape, or released quickly. These fittings also include provision to make a water tight seal for the meter inlet and output connections.
