Le document FR-2 429 316 décrit une porte de type va-et-vient comportant deux vantaux présentant des chants disposés en regard l'un de l'autre en position fermée de la porte. Chaque chant est recouvert par un joint comportant une âme en forme de bourrelet et dont la face en regard du chant s'étend à distance de celui-ci. L'âme porte deux lèvres s'étendant en direction de l'autre joint et venant en contact avec les lèvres de celui-ci en position fermée de la porte. Le joint comporte deux ailes parallèles fixées par des baguettes et des vis aux deux faces opposées respectives du vantail. Chaque baguette serre une aile contre la face du vantail, l'aile comportant un repli venant recouvrir extérieurement la baguette pour la dissimuler à la vue. Les baguettes augmentent le coût total du dispositif et leur installation complique le montage du joint.De plus, la nécessité de les dissimuler à la vue amène à créer des replis qui compliquent la forme du joint.
