Abstract

The mosquito net blind (6) is placed in an opening (A) having a lower horizontal support (B) and vertical supports (C,D). One end of the blind has a movable load bar (7) whose ends are engaged in lateral runners (3,4) fixed to the vertical supports. The bar is guided between a top open position, in which the blind is entirely wound up, and an end bottom closed position in which the blind is entirely unfurled where the bar is located near the lower horizontal support. A stop for the load bar freely engaged in each runner can be displaced longitudinally and individually in each runner. The stops can be immobilised at the same level in the runners in case there are any differences in level or parallelism between the lower support and the upper winding tube (5).

Are already known devices for obscuring a bay, such as blinds, mosquito nets and the like and having an apron which is subject to an upper winding tube and which is provided at its free end with a load bar can be either above the bay in the open position, or as close as possible to a lower horizontal support of the bay in the closed position, that is to say when the deck is deployed.

 However, in the closed position, there is almost always a clearance between the load bar and the support, due to the very design of the device.

 The vertical sides of the bay, called "tables", receive fixed slides, which face each other and in which the load bar and the longitudinal edges of the deck are guided when they are moved from the open position to the closed position and vice versa.

 Each slide is fixed as low as possible to rest on the horizontal support, but it is necessary to provide stop members, or "stops", which hold the load bar in the closed position and, both for aesthetic reasons of finish that for functional reasons, these stops are provided at the bottom of the slides, all of this having the drawback that the load bar is retained a little above the horizontal support.

 To hide the resulting play, a flexible seal is placed under the load bar, but this solution is insufficient because, in practice, it turns out that the lower horizontal support of the bay is irregular or has a small obliquity, the consequence is, that in the closed position, one side of the load bar is higher than the other while it is impossible to make up for this difference in squareness and to conceal this interval.

 This game is unpleasant when the device is a blind because light passes through this interval, but it becomes intolerable when the device is a mosquito net because not only the mosquitos themselves are not stopped but other flying or crawling insects can also go through this interval.

 Another drawback is that the apron fixed to a spring-loaded winding tube must, in order not to make creases, find laterally two hooking points located at equal distance from said winding tube, which is rarely the case. with fixed stops.

 The present invention overcomes these disadvantages and allows, moreover, easier installation of the device, even in difficult conditions where the lower horizontal support is very irregular.

 To this end, the subject of the invention is a device such as a blind, a mosquito net and the like, to be placed in front of a bay having a lower horizontal support and vertical tables, and of the type comprising an apron one end of which is secured to an upper winding tube and the other end of which is subject to a movable load bar, the ends of which are engaged in lateral slides fixed to the panels in order to be guided in displacement between a high extreme position called "opening" "in which the deck is fully rolled up and an extreme low position called" closing "in which the deck is fully deployed and the load bar located closest to the lower horizontal support, characterized in that a stopper load bar stop is freely engaged in each slide so that it can be moved longitudinally, individually for each slide, both provided for immobilizing the stops of the two slides at the same level, whatever the defects of flatness and / or parallelism between the lower support and the upper winding tube.

According to other features of the invention
- each slide is placed on the lower support of the bay;
- At least one of the slides has a length less than the height of the tables and is fixed to them so that its lower end is located a little above the lower horizontal support of the bay;

- the pawl is located at the end of an elastic rod which urges it permanently towards a position in which it is engaged with at least one tooth of the rack, a hook being provided near this end, opposite of the pawl, and serving as a support for arching the elastic rod and separating the pawl from the rack;
- The lower part of the load bar has over its entire length a continuous flexible element intended to be interposed between it and the lower horizontal support when the deck is in the closed position, in order to close off the play that may exist, in this position, between said load bar and said lower horizontal support;
- the flexible element is a brush.

 The invention will be better understood from the detailed description below made with reference to the accompanying drawing. Of course, the description and the drawing are given only by way of an indicative and nonlimiting example.

 Figure 1 is a schematic overview of a device according to the invention.

 Referring to the drawing, it can be seen that the device according to the invention chosen here is of the type comprising on the one hand a fixed frame 1 composed of a horizontal box 2 located above a bay A and two slides vertical side 3 and 4 and, on the other hand, a winding cylinder 5 rotatably mounted without the trunk 2 and on which a flexible deck 6 is fixed by one of its transverse edges.

 Generally, the apron 6 is used to obscure the light entering through the bay A but it can also consist of a very fine mesh panel allowing air and light to pass through but preventing insects and other small animals from entering. In this case, the apron 6 is a mosquito net.

 By its edge opposite to that which is fixed to the cylinder 5, the apron 6 is subject to a rigid load bar 7 by which the apron 6 is maneuvered, either to lower it in the closed position, or to raise it in position opening hours.

 As is known per se, the winding cylinder 5 is subjected to the action of a spring 8 which constantly tends to rotate the cylinder 5 in the direction corresponding to the winding of the deck 6, this is -to say that the apron 6 is biased towards its open position.

 When the apron 6 must be deployed in the closed position, it must be lowered against the action of the spring 8, which is bandaged during this movement, so that means must be provided at the bottom of the slides 3 and 4 to retain the deployed apron 6.

 As said above, it sometimes happens that the lower part of the bay A, generally constituted by a window sill B situated between two tables C and D, has a certain obliquity, so that the load bar 7, which remains horizontal or , in any case, parallel to the axis of the trunk 2 and of the cylinder 5, leaves an interval between it and the support B, an interval which will increase from the highest level to the lowest level of support B, or which exists below surface irregularities, recessed and / or raised, of the same support B.

 In accordance with the invention, the lower part of the slides 3 and 4 is provided with stops for the load bar 7, the position of which is adjustable relative to the corresponding slide 3-4, as will be described below. .

This arrangement makes it possible to effectively find, in all possible situations of support B, two lateral attachment points located
- equidistant from the winding tube 5,
- as close as possible to support B.

 The slides 3 and 4 each consist of a profile and the two identical profiles are placed face to face, symmetrically, so that the description which follows, made opposite the single slide 3 is also valid for the slide 4.

 The profile of the slide 3 comprises two large wings 11 and 12 joined by a bottom 13 and provided near their free ends with two returns 14 and 15 between which there remains an opening, or entrance, continuous longitudinal 16.

 Outside the bottom 13, there are two small wings 17 and 18 provided near their free ends with two returns 19 and 20 between which there remains an opening, or entrance, continuous longitudinal 21.

 A large channel 22 and a small channel 23 are thus determined.

 Here, the slides 3 and 4 are a little shorter than the height of the tables C and D, so that at the time of assembly their lower ends are a little above the support B.

 This situation is a special case which demonstrates that the invention is applicable even under the worst conditions, because if the slides 3 and 4 have a good length and if the support B is approximately correct, the slides 3 and 4 are intended for be placed in contact with support B.

 As the slides 3 and 4 are equal and that they are identically placed with respect to the trunk 2, their lower ends are separated from the support B by distances x and y which may not be equal if the support B is oblique , as seen in Figure 1.

C and D (by any means known to those skilled in the art such as backstage), a piece is engaged in the large channel 22, by the lower end of the slide 3, according to arrow F1 (FIG. 3) 25 which has a substantially U shape having two wings 26 and 27 joined by a core 28 and determining an opening 29 which faces the inlet 16 of the large channel 22.

 Inside the wing 27, there is a stop stop formed by a transverse face 30 surmounted by an oblique ramp 31, this stop being located above a transverse lower wall 32.

 Outside the core 28 of the part 25, there is a rack 33 whose teeth are formed by an upper horizontal plane and a lower oblique plane.

 A notch 34 is formed in the slide 3 in order to cut the small wings 17 and 18 as well as the bottom 13, the rack 33 of the part 25 thus being accessible from the outside.

C and D, we engage in the small channel 23, by the lower end of the slide 3, according to the arrow F2 (FIG. 3) a part 35 whose external section is substantially equal to the internal section of the small channel 23 to sliding with gentle friction, the insertion of this part 35 being limited by a lower base of larger section 36.

 The part 35 carries a rod 37 at the top of which is a pawl 38 with two pitch teeth, shapes and dimensions coordinated with those of the rack 33.

 The pawl 38 carries a hook 39 by which the rod 37 can be forced to arch, passing through the inlet 21, to separate the teeth of the pawl 38 which are normally engaged with those of the rack 33, by elastic return of the rod 37.

 Furthermore, the load bar 7 receives, at its two ends, a nozzle 40 of which a part 41 is engaged, according to arrow F3 in FIG. 2, in a corresponding housing of the load bar 7 while at opposite of the part 41 are on the one hand a clamp 42 between the branches of which the apron 6 is taken and fixed by a staple 43 and on the other hand a finger 44 separated from the clamp 42 by a space 45.

 The end piece 40 and the apron 6 are engaged in the large channel 22 by the upper end of the slide 3, which makes it possible to introduce therein buttons or rollers 46 (known in practice under the term of "lids") fixed to the apron 6 from place to place and whose thickness is less than the interior width of the large channel 22 and greater than the width of the inlet 16 so as to be able to run longitudinally in the large channel 22 but to abut against the interior returns 14 and 15, which keeps the apron 6 behind the scenes.

 When the finger 44 (which is the lowest part engaged in the large channel 22) reaches the bottom of the slide 3, it enters the part 25 which is open at its upper part and meets the ramp 31 which - the forces to bow as seen in figure 6.

 The clamp 42 also constitutes a guide element for the load bar 7 in the slide 3 and is associated with a shoe 47 which limits the insertion of the clamp 42 and the finger 44 into the large channel 22 and which slides against the outer face of returns 14 and 15.

 The load bar 7 has, on its front face, a longitudinal rib 50 in the form of a gutter ending in a continuous rounded edge 51 clearly offset from the axis of the load bar 7.

 Thus, when a user wants to lower the apron 6 to bring it into the closed position, he applies his fingers to the edge 51 of the rib 50, which tends to pivot the load bar 7 about its axis. Conversely, to raise the apron 6 to bring it into the open position, the action of the user's fingers behind the edge 51 has the effect of pivoting the load bar 7 about its axis but in the reverse of the previous one.

 Finally, under the load bar 7, there is a brush 52 intended to close off the space which may remain between the load bar 7 and the support B in the closed position of the deck 6.

The operation of the structure which has just been described is as follows
After having engaged a part 25 and a part 35 at the bottom of the slides 3 and 4 and after having engaged a nozzle 40 and the apron 6 at the top of the same slides 3 and 4, these are fixed to tables C and D by all means well known to those skilled in the art.

 Normally, the slides leaving a 3 and 4 remaining are placed on the support B but, due to a certain obliquity, it may happen that a small distance exists between the lower end of at least one of the runners 3 and 4 and support B. Here, the assumption is that the two runners 3 and 4 are located a little above support B (distances x and y in Figures 1 and 3).

 The engagement of the pieces 25 from bottom to top is prevented by the pawl 38 whose teeth are engaged with those of the rack 33, which requires erasing the pawl 38 to extract its teeth from the rack 33, which the 'We obtain by pulling on the hook 39 with the nail or with a small tool, the rod 37 bending elastically (Figure 3).

F4 (Figures 1 and 5) by acting on the edge 51 of the rib 50. Approaching the bottom of the slides 3 and 4, the fingers 44 of each end piece 40 penetrate into the parts 25, reach the ramps 31, exceed the stops 30 and come into contact with the lower walls 32.

 Continuing the downward movement, the parts 25 are forced to lower, which they do freely because on the one hand they are slidably engaged in the large channel 22 of the slides 3 and 4 and, on the other hand, the teeth of the rack 33 and the pawl 38 are oriented accordingly.

 The parts 25 are lowered as long as their bottom wall 32 does not abut against the support B. If necessary, as here, they are extracted from the slides 3 and 4 until they abut against the support B, according to equal or different distances (x and y) according to the horizontality and the regularity of the support B.

 At each step, equal to one tooth of the rack 33, the pawl 38 moves apart and returns resiliently engaged with the next tooth, as long as the downward movement of the corresponding part 25 continues.

 When the part 25 reaches the support B, the teeth of the pawl 38 cannot pass to the next tooth and also cannot go back up because their shape is opposed thereto, which is the characteristic of a rack and pinion. a nonreturn ratchet.

 Thus, the lowest possible position was automatically obtained for each of the parts 25 of the two slides 3 and 4, in contact with the support B, without any play, and their immobilization by the pawl 38 and the rack 33 is equivalent to a fixing to tables C and D because the parts 25, intermediate between the support B and said slides 3 and 4 are made integral with the latter, themselves fixed to tables C and D.

 Note that the lowering of the parts 25 is only possible because it is also possible that they are at the right height from the start.

 But when these parts 25 are lowered, the movement is created by the pushing of the finger 44 on the lower wall 32, that is to say by the lowering of the load bar 7. However, this lowering is produced during the installation of the device and care is taken, then, to keep the load bar 7 the perfect parallelism with the winding tube 5, which is easily verified by the absence of false apron folds 6.

 At the end of movement, it is therefore ensured in the low closed position, that the load bar 7 is indeed parallel to the winding tube 5 and that the retaining stops 30 are located as low as possible.

 The expression "as low as possible" does not mean that the parts 25 carrying the retaining stops 30 are necessarily partly out of the slides 3 and 4. It can happen that at least one of the parts 25 is level with the lower end of the corresponding slide 3-4 or, even, slightly inserted inside said slide (3-4).

 In fact, the important thing is that the load bar 7 is indeed parallel to the winding tube 5 despite the irregularities of the support B. The stops 30 are therefore immobilized when one of them is as low as possible, the other taking the same level, regardless of the relative position between it and the corresponding slide.

 Note in Figure 5 that the upper edge of the finger 44 is under the stop 30 and not in contact with the latter. Consequently, when the rib 50 is released, the spring 8 acts on the winding cylinder 5 and the apron 6 rises but only until the finger 44 meets the stop 30 located just above it.

 The load bar 7 and the deck 6 are thus retained in the closed position.

To prevent the finger 44 from slipping and escaping from the stop 30, its convex upper edge is rounded and the transverse face 30 has a concave hollow of the same curvature as the edge of the finger 44. -
In the closed position, the underside of the load bar 7 is at a very small distance from the support
B, distance substantially equal to the distance z between the top of the finger 44 and the bottom of the stop 30 (FIGS. 5, 6, 9 and 10).

 The brush 52 effectively seals this space, all along the support B, because the automatic and individual adjustment of the stops 30 guarantees that the load bar 7 is parallel to the axis of the cylinder 5.

 To bring the apron 6 to the open position, action is taken on the edge 51 of the rib 50 to rotate it, which causes the load bar 7 and the finger 44 (FIG. 8) to swing which escapes the stop 30, thus releasing the apron 6 which is wound around the cylinder 5, the latter being driven in rotation by the banded spring 8.

 In Figure 7, there is shown the slide 3 front view when the tip 40 has pivoted with the load bar 7 which it is integral.

 As the clamp 42 and the finger 44 penetrate into the large channel 22 through the inlet 16 barely wider than them, it is necessary to remove the returns 14 and 15 at a certain height H to allow the transverse pivoting of the end piece 40 .

 For this, a notch is created which widens the inlet 16, which then, at the bottom of the slide 3, extends from the inner face of the wing 11 to the inner face of the wing 12, where the returns 14 and 15 have been removed.

 The sum of the maximum width of the ramp 31 and the finger 44 must be less than the distance between the internal faces of the wings 11 and 12 located face to face, otherwise the finger 44 could not pass between the ramp 31 and the face internal of the wing 11 or, a fortiori, between the ramp 31 and the wing 26 of the part 25 because the thickness of this wing 26 further decreases the free space in which the clamp 42 and the finger extend 44.

Claims (11)
