Cabriolet type vehicle provided with a roof made of several rigid panels (1, 2, 4), movable between a "open roof" position in which the roof is retracted inside the passenger compartment, and a " closed roof "in which it completely covers the passenger compartment, vehicle characterized in that the roof comprises at least three panels (1, 2, 4), two of which are secured to one another by sliding fastening means, one of the two panels (1, 2) secured to sliding is provided with a rigidity hoop (3) secured to the side walls of the passenger compartment by at least one articulation device (7), and this panel (2 ) is movable around the articulation between the "open roof" position in which it is retracted into the passenger compartment at the rear thereof and the "closed roof" position in which it is above the passenger compartment, two panels (1, 2) then being juxtaposed one behind the other, passing through pa r an intermediate position in which these two panels are superimposed, and in that the third panel (4) is secured in the region of one of its ends to the rear part of the passenger compartment by at least one articulation device and is movable between the "open" position in which it is lowered at the rear of the passenger compartment and another position in which its other end is raised at the rear of the panels (1, 2) secured to sliding when these these are in the "closed roof" or intermediate position. 2 -
