Und zwar beispielsweise dergestalt, dass das vordere Dachelement eine Öffnung eines Aufnahmeraums im Aufbau als Aufbauaußenelement abdeckt und das hintere Dachelement räumlich günstig in diesem Aufnahmeraum untergebracht werden kann. Vorteilhaft ist auch, wenn das vordere Dachelement die Öffnung des Aufnahmeraums vollständig abdeckt, so dass ein zusätzlicher so genannter Verdeckkastendeckel mit aufwendiger Kinematik entfallen kann und bemerkenswerte ästhetische Effekte für eine definierte Karosserie-Architektur erzielbar sind. Die aufrechte Position des hinteren Dachelements in der Offenstellung des Dachs ermöglicht eine platzsparende Konstruktion für den Aufnahmeraum und einen daran anschließenden Kofferraum im Heck des Personenkraftwagens. Ein funktionsgerechter Bewegungsablauf der beiden Dachelemente aus der Schließstellung in die Offenstellung und vice versa wird dadurch erreicht, dass besagte Dachelemente mittels des übersichtlich gestalteten Hebelsystems zusammenwirken und das hintere Dachelement über ein Schwenklager am Aufbau drehbar angelenkt ist. Ein sicherer Betrieb zur Betätigung der Dachelemente ist dadurch gewährleistet, dass eine erste und eine zweite Antriebseinrichtung eingesetzt werden, die elektromotorischer oder hydraulischer Bauart oder eine Kombination aus beiden sein kann. Denkbar ist aber auch, die Dachelemente mittels einer einzigen Antriebseinrichtung zu betätigen. Hierzu ist am Hebelsystem zwischen den beiden Dachelementen ein leicht realisierbares Vorgelege vorgesehen, das mit einem Koppellenker in Verbindung steht, welcher konstruktiv einfacher Koppellenker mit seinem freien Ende beabstandet zur Schwenkachse am Aufbau angelenkt ist.
