Abstract

The present invention relates to an improved device for locking a buffer to a frame. This device essentially comprises a pallet (7) comprising an open bore (13) which cooperates with an axis (8) integral with the buffer (3), which buffer can be easily mounted by fitting onto the frame (2), after which the pallet (7) is mounted on the axis (8) received in a lug (6) integral with this frame. in the ear.

  Referring to the drawings, we see a frame 2 which can be embedded in the material of a roadway by

  example and on which can be mounted by interlocking a buffer or cover 3.

  The pad 3 is radially provided with a finger 4 extending along a horizontal axis 8.

  ear 6 at the outer periphery of the frame 2.

As described in document FR-A- 2481337, the pallet 7 comprises a rib 15, and a nose 22 capable of cooperating with a housing 23 having a shape complementary to that of the nose 22, so that when the pallet 7, after mounting on the axis 8, will be tilted , as seen in FIGS. 7 and 8, said pallet, by cooperation of the nose 22 and the housing 23, will provide a rotation of the buffer 3 with respect to the frame 2, thereby making the finger 4 pass under the nose 5, that is, finally locking the stamp on the frame.30 Pallet 7 can still be other elements which do not form part of the present invention and which are described in the abovementioned document to which reference may be made. For a better understanding of the invention,

  The buffer 3 is placed on the frame 2, which presents no difficulty Indeed, it will suffice that the buffer 3 is properly oriented so that the finger 4

  with its axis 8 is at the right of the ear 6.

  This operation being done, is mounted by hand, as seen in Figure 5, the pallet 7 on the axis 8

  by its open bore 13, in the ear 6.

  The pallet 7 is then rotated about its axis 8 in the direction of the arrow marked F in FIG. 5. This pivoting, because of the engagement of the nose 22 with the housing 23, will cause the pallet 7 to be translated into the direction of the arrow marked G in Figure 6, so that the face 4 of the finger 4 will come below the face 5 of the spout 5 Thus, the buffer 3 will be locked on the frame 2 via the finger 4 and spout 5 which are brought into cooperation position

  thanks to the pivoting of the pallet 7.

  To unlock, it is first necessary to swing up the pallet 7 to the

  hand or with a tool inserted into the housing 30.

  This being done, the finger 4 of the buffer 3 remains trapped in the spout 5 To release it, a tool is inserted between the wall 20 of the ear 6 and the upper face of the pallet 7 which is in a vertical position. 7 will be translated in a direction opposite to that of the arrow G, so that the buffer 3 will be rotated relative to the frame 2,

  It has therefore been realized according to the invention a device for locking a stamp on a frame which greatly facilitates the mounting of the stamp on the frame, that is to say without any annoyance provided by the system controlling the lock, which system assures

  nevertheless an effective locking.

R E V E N D I C A T I O N   Improved device for locking a buffer on a frame, for manhole or the like, of the type comprising an ear (6) integral with the frame (2), a finger (4) integral with the pad (3) and able to penetrate into the ear (6) and to cooperate with a spout (5) of the ear to prevent the lifting of the pad, and a paddle (7) which is articulated on a horizontal axis (8) extending the finger (4) and which is able to penetrate into the ear (6) and to pivot and translate in it to ensure the locking of the buffer (3) on the frame (2), characterized in that the bore (13) provided on the pallet (7) and cooperating with the axis (8) is an open bore or opening radially to allow the mounting of the pallet on the axis (8) after said axis has been introduced into the ear (6).
