Abstract

This is an armrest intended to be fixed to the door of a motor vehicle, especially in the case where the latter offers a continuity of shape and surface area in harmony with the dashboard located facing the driver and extending on each side as far as the junction with the doors and their armrests. In order to obtain a correct position of the armrest and to be able to adjust the fastening thereof, this armrest incorporates, at one of its ends, orifices (8) which are slit transversely with respect to those which exist in the panel (4) of the door by means of the screws (9) and, at the other end, closest to the dashboard, in addition to a fastening screw (11), the position of which can be adjusted vertically and transversely, two plastic insertions (16) and (24) the separation of which is adjustable before they are permanently fastened by expanding the case (shroud) (19) in order also to obtain adjustment within the thickness of the armrest at this end in order to fasten it to the dashboard.

PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION
The present invention consists of an elbow support, specially designed for use in motor vehicles, and therefore intended to be fixed to the interior panel of the doors of these vehicles; these armrests have been significantly improved in order to facilitate assembly and, more specifically, to allow them to regulate positions and, as a last resort, to counteract any adjustments that may affect the mounting of the vehicle interior lining.
