Abstract

L'élément cotylodien est remarquable en ce qu'il est conformé pour être appliqué dans le fond de la cavité cotylode de l'os iliaque en faisant office de support à une cupule ou anneau 2 tout en permettant la repousse osseuse.

Description

Elément cotyloïdien.
L'invention concerne plus particulièrement mais non limitativement les prothèses de hanche.
Dans le cas d'une arthroplastie de la hanche notamment, il est connu d'utiliser des implants coopérant avec la cavité cotyloïde de l'os iliaque et le fémur. Généralement, ces implants comprennent une cupule ou anneau métallique recevant un noyau monte en bout d'un élément prothétique fémoral. La cupule ou anneau est fixé au moyen de ciment ou de vis dans la cavité cotyloïde.
Quel que soit le mode d'impactation et de fixation, la cupule est directement en contact avec la cavité cotyloïde ou le ciment ce qui interdit toute repousse osseuse ou tout au moins freine considérablement cette dernière. Cette repousse osseuse est très importante pour la stabilisation secondaire.
L'invention s'est fixée pour but de remédier a ces inconvénients, d'une manière simple et efficace.
Pour résoudre le problème posé de faciliter la repousse osseuse, il a été conçu et mis au point un élément cotyloidien qui est conformé pour être appliqué dans le fond de la cavité cotyloïde de l'os iliaque en faisant office de support à une cupule ou anneau tout en permettant la répousse osseuse.
hvantageusement, l'élément cotyloïdien est constitué par un grillage.
Le grillage est maléable pour épouser la forme du cotyle osseux.
L'élément cotyloïdien est conformé pour constituer un espace interne apte à recevoir un matériau biocompatible ayant des capacités de stimulateur de repousse osseuse.
L'élément cotyloidien est exécuté dans un matériau biocompatible du type biocopolymère, titane, titane allie, acier inoxydable.
A noter que dans le cas où il n'est plus possible de restaurer la cavité cotyloidienne, le grillage constitue une surface d'appui parfaitement adaptée pour la cupule ou anneau de l'implant fémoral.

La figure 1 est une vue de face d'une forme de réalisation de l'élément cotyloïdien constitué par un grillage.
La figure 2 montre par une vue en coupe, la mise en place de l'élément dans la cavité cotyloïde avec implant fémoral.
La figure 3 est une vue correspondant à la figure 2 montrant une autre forme de réalisation de l'élément cotylodien.
Afin de rendre plus concret l'objet de l'invention, on le décrit maintenant d'une manière non limitative en se référant aux exemples de réalisation des figures des dessins.
L'élément cotyloidien (1) est conformé pour être appliqué dans le fond de la cavité cotyloide de l'os iliaque notamment. Dans ce cas, l'élément < 1 > fait office de support å une cupule ou anneau < 2) d'un implant fémoral (3 > en constituant un interface entre ladite cupule (2 > et cavité cotyloïde de En outre, d'une manière importante, pour résoudre le problème pose, l'élément (i) est conformé pour permettre la répousse osseuse.
Dans ce but, d'une manière préférée, Ilhément < 1 > est constitué par un grillage réalisé dans un matériau biocompatible tel que le biocopolymère, le titane, le titane allie, l'acier inoxydable... Par ailleurs, le grillage doit être suffisamment maléable pour épouser parfaitement la forme de la cavité cotyloïde.
De même ce grillage doit être suffisamment résistant pour supporter les différents efforts résultant de l'implantation de la cupule. Cette condition est d'autant plus importante dans le cas ou la cavité cotyloïde ne peut pratiquement pas être restaurée.
Compte tenu du but recherché, le grillage est perméable à la répousse osseuse ultérieure. Le diamètre des fils utilisés pour l'exécution du grillage, ainsi que la largeur de la maille, sont convenablement déterminés pour remplir les trois fonctions suivantes considérées en combinaison, à savoir : la maléabilité, la rigidité et la repousse osseuse.
Dans une autre forme de réalisation, le grillage peut constituer une double paroi (la) (lob) entre lesquelles peut être introduit un matériau biocompatible (4) de tout type connu et approprié pour favoriser la repousse osseuse en faisant office de stimulateur (figure 3 > .
Les avantages ressortent bien de la description en particulier on souligne la simplicité de réalisation et de mise en place et les résultats obtenus au niveau de la repousse osseuse.

Claims (3)

    REVENDICATIONS
  1. -1- Elément cotyloïdien notamment pour prothèse de hanche, caractérisé en ce qu'il est conformé pour être appliqué dans le fond de la cavité cotyloïde de l'os iliaque en faisant office de support à une cupule ou anneau (2) tout en permettant la répousse osseuse.
  2. -2- Element selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce qu'il est constitué par un grillage (1).
