Abstract

The invention relates to a wiper assembly in which the wiper or wiper blade 5, 6, 8, 9 cannot be detached from the channel 2 of the wiper arm. A single-branch link 7 is rotatably connected to the free end of the channel and an extension spring 11 pushes the link 7, its jaw 8 and therefore the scanning element 9 towards the surface to be wiped. The scanning element 9 of the assembly can thus adapt itself precisely to the curvature of a windshield and a low profile assembly is obtained.

Description

Windscreen wiper assembly for motor vehicles The present invention

concerns a set of

  windscreen wipers for motor vehicles or the like

  Virtually all wiper assemblies

  currently existing on the market are of the type

  The main object of the invention is to provide

  a set of very low profile wipers,

  i.e. a set of wipers in which the point of the set, which is located highest above the surface to be wiped, is located closest to the

  surface to be wiped only in wiper assemblies

  comparable glasses of the prior art. This parti-

  circularity is particularly important for wiper assemblies which are located below the hood of the vehicle when in their

rest position.

  Another object of the invention is - according to the

  length and according to the embodiment of the

  seems - to provide a set of wipers which is less expensive than comparable wiper sets of the prior art. From this point of view,

  The wiper assembly according to the invention

  also takes at least one link to a branch and at least one spring means capable of acting on the

  FIGS. 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B show that the wiper assembly according to the first embodiment of the invention essentially comprises the following parts or elements: a head forming a frame 1, a channel profile 2 connected rotating at the head forming a frame 1 by means of the rivet 3,

  1. Set of windscreen wipers for   motor or the like, comprising a head forming a   ture (1), a channel (2) connected in rotation to the tgte forming a mount (1), spring means (4) between   the channel (2) and the mount head (1), an element   ment of sweeping or wiping (9) and at least one link with two branches (5,6) connecting in rotation the sweeping element (9) to the channel (2), characterized in that it also comprises at at least one rod with a branch (7,7a, 7b) and at least one spring means (11,11a, 11b) capable of urging the rod to   a branch (7,7a, 7b) towards the surface to be wiped.   2. Windscreen wiper assembly according to the resale   dication 1, characterized in that the link with a branch (7,7a) is fixed in rotation to the part of the   channel (2) which is furthest from the head mant mount (1).   3. Windscreen wiper assembly according to the resale   dication 1, characterized in that the link with a branch (7,7b) is fixed in rotation to the part of the channel (2) which is closest to the head forming mount (1).   4. Windshield wiper assembly according to the resale   dication 1, characterized in that it comprises two   rods to a branch (7a, 7b) located respectively-   near the two ends of the channel (2).   5. Set of windshield wipers according to res-   dications 1 to 4, characterized in that it comprises three links with two branches (5,6) of which the first is an intermediate link, located between the channel   (2) and the other two links with two branches (6).
