Description

 The present invention relates to a movable wall system with vertical sliding for temporarily dividing rooms.

 The possibilities of using large spaces intended for public use, such as schools, gymnasiums, conference rooms, exhibition halls, etc., are often limited by the difficulty of temporarily subdividing a large space to allow it to be used. split employment.

 The invention therefore proposes to achieve a system of temporary subdivision of places by means of a flexible retractable wall vertically actuated automatically, without it being necessary to undertake works which modify the surface on which one walks in the place as a whole, so as not to pose obstacles or to hinder a minimum the use of the place itself.

 Referring to Figures 1,2, and 4, the retractable wall 1 is constituted by a pair of flexible surfaces 2 and 3, parallel, suspended from an upper support structure 5, fixed in a manner not shown to the main beam of the roof. the room to be subdivided, for example a gymnasium, a conference room, a hall for fairs and exhibitions, etc. The height of the walls is planned so as to reach the floor of the room.

 The raising of the wall 1 is obtained by means of the assembly bar 12, arranged horizontally between the two surfaces 2 and 3 in contact with the bottom by the flexible elements 8 for assembling the lower fabrics 6,6 '. The assembly bar 12 is connected by means of jaws 14 to traction belts 15, fixed from above to pulleys 16 fitted on a control shaft 20. In correspondence with each back fixing 9 on the edges 10 of the fabrics are provided another series of belts 8, gradually engaged by the bar 12 to allow folding the fabrics one on the other when the wall is in height.

 The control shaft 20 is subdivided into various segments 20a, 20b, 20c, connected to each other by means of elastic seals 21, making it possible to compensate for any bending and misalignment due to the significant weight of the wall. The segments of the control shaft 20 are supported by supports 23 provided with bearings and bone sockets ~ 11- lantes, to absorb any misalignments which occur during assembly of the shaft (Figure 3).

 The control shaft 20 is actuated by a motor-geared motor group 25 by means of members suitable for the transmission of movement.

 Figure 5 shows schematically the wall according to the invention in partially retracted arrangement.

 To protect against the accidental fall of the wall in the event of a rupture of the control shaft or of the coupling members with motor-gearmotor group, at the end of the shaft 20 are mounted safety devices 27, of the type gear wheel with locking hooks, not described as known to specialists in the industry.

 It is obvious from the description given above that the retractable wall system according to the invention makes it possible to advantageously subdivide large rooms into 2 or more smaller rooms, without prejudicing the possibilities of using the whole place. when the walls are raised.
