Abstract

This compacting roller, particularly for agricultural tools, is made up of a bar roller each bar 1 of which serves to support a strip of rubber 4 whose front edge 4a is fixed to the said bar 1 and whose back edge 4b is fixed to the strip 4 adjoining to the rear with respect to the direction of rotation f of the roller.

Le problème du tassement des terres humides et collantes est particulièrement ardu. On s'est aperçu qu'en employant des rouleaux de compactage constitués par une simple surface métallique cylindrique lisse, on ne pouvait éviter que des paquets de terre ne collent a ladite paroi lisse, même en disposant un organe racleur à proximité, de sorte que ces rouleaux se chargent de boue collée et deviennent rapidement inutilisables. On a alors proposé des rouleaux a barres hélicoïdales, mais la encore il s'est avéré que la terre arrivait à se coller aux barres et à former des manchons de terre qui augmentaient peu à peu d'épaisseur jusqu'à en arriver à se rejoindre : le rouleau était alors compiètement colmaté et inutilisable.On a alors recemment propose des rouleaux appelés rouleaux packer" qui comportent des couronnes de dents séparées par des surfaces cylindriques contre lesquelles sont appliqués des racloir portés par des supports s'engageant entre les couronnes de dents. Claims

1.
