Abstract

Device for placing a coffin on the edge of a grave without having to walk dangerously on the planks which border it. It consists of four elements a, b, c, d connected by bars 23, 24, 29, 30 which position them on the planks P. The coffin B is set down on the first roller 1, pushed by a workman until it stops on the other three situated facing the grave. The space which separates the coffin from the planks makes it possible to move the ropes and to house the feet of the workmen. Each element is provided with a hook mechanism 15 for holding the device when the coffin is on the point of leaving the rollers, with a point for separating the planks 25, with lugs 19, 26, with a roller 3, with a roller housing 11 and with two roller supports 7, 26 protecting the nuts 27, 28. The last roller 4 is lower than the other three in order to compensate for the bending of the planks. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for burials for graves with poor accessibility.

Description

The present invention relates to a burial device in
soil through which the coffin is easily placed at the edge of the pit.

To traditionally bury an earthen body among
graves, the four workers responsible for this work cannot
often approach the pit. Two workers, one of whom, walking backwards, dangerously skirted the pit on planks
narrow often wet or frozen.

The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy this inconvenient. It indeed has four welded iron elements
and galvanized, fitted with rollers on which the coffin advances.

Each element fits on the boards by fitting everything
first hooking on the side opposite the pit. Three of
they are connected by four bars which determine their position.

One end of the coffin is placed on the first rou

The first element (a) figure 1 has a hooking length

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended for burials in the earth for inaccessible graves.
