Abstract

The device for recovering heat from the exhaust gases and smoke from a steam boiler heated by fuel or gas, having, in the space between its inner and outer concentric walls as well as above the dome closing the inner wall, a water reserve into which a flue (smoke pipe) connected to the discharge chimney is immersed, is composed of a cylindrical jacket (15) surrounding the external wall 1 of the boiler in line with the nozzles 8 of the boiler and forming, with the latter, an annular volume 21 connected via a pipe 18 to the pipe 14 for exhausting the gases from the burners 10 and to the gas-outlet chimney 19, a vertical baffle 17 being disposed in the volume 21 at the inlet of the pipe 18 in order to direct the gas flow into the jacket 15 up to discharge.
