Abstract

Device for fastening a trailer to a tractor vehicle with the aid of a retractable ball 2 intended to receive the fastening head 2a of the trailer and a main body securely fastened to the tractor, made from two parallel portions 1 connected along an assembly plane 3 and capable of coming into engagement with the lower portion 12 of the retractable ball and characterised in that: a. The assembly plane 3 possesses two slots 11 and one safety yoke 7 which is welded to it and can receive a removable safety pin 8; b. The lower portion 12 of the fastening ball 2 possesses two dog points 4 connected to a clamping cam 5 to which there is welded a handle 6 which can move about a pin; c. To the vertical portion of the portion 12 of the ball 2 there is fixed a rubber plate 10 which the dog points 4 pass through and against which the assembly plane 3 presses; d. A removable protection cover 9 makes it possible to avoid the risk of accidents.

CLAIMS Device for fixing a trailer to a towing vehicle using a retractable ball (2) intended to receive the hooking head (2a) of the trailer and a main body integral with the tractor, made of two parallel parts (1) connected to an assembly plane (3) and capable of engaging with the lower part (12) of the retractable ball and characterized in that a) the assembly plane (3) has two lights (11) and a safety clip (7) which is welded to it and can receive a removable safety pin (8); b) the lower part (12) of the fixing ball (2) has two pins (4) connected to a clamping cam (5) to which is welded a handle (6) movable around an axis; ;

c) to the vertical part of the part (12) of the ball (2) is fixed a rubber plate (10) through which the pins (4) pass and against which the assembly plane (3) is applied;

d) a removable protective cover (9) avoids accidental risks.
