Leveling device for light craft The present invention relates to a leveling device for light craft, comprising at least one carrier fin and intended to be fixed to the hull of the craft.
In the field of light boats, the principle of dynamic lift by carrying fins comes up against the requirements of maneuverability and transportability and, until now, the advantages of lift-off efficiency and comfort on rough waters. were not enough to generate real interest.
The object of the invention is to allow boarding as well as transport on land without dismantling the fins. The device according to the invention is characterized in that the fixing of the carrier fin comprises at least one bearing placed such that said fin is able to come to occupy alternately an operating position under the boat, and a raised position. boarding, by a tilting maneuver around a transverse axis.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, some embodiments of the device, which is the subject of the invention.
Figs. 1 and 2 are side views of the front of the boat, fitted with a carrier fin.
Figs. 3 and 4 are side views of the rear of the boat, provided with a spoiler according to another embodiment of the invention comprising two towing wheels.
Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the boat, provided with a rear spoiler and a front spoiler.
Fig. 6 is a side view of the boat, in which the fins are fixed to the hull by means of a frame forming a chassis, itself connected to the hull by springs.
Fig. 7 is a section taken along the transverse plane (13) of FIG. 6, showing the detail of a shock absorber. Fig. 8 is a front view of the boat fitted with a fin constructed from a profiled bar, bent in a U.
Fig. 9 is a side view of the boat hanging from a motor vehicle.
Fig. 10 shows a side view of the boat, in which the front wing is provided with a part for the re-marking by hand.
Fig. 11 is a plan view of the canoe, fitted with an H-shaped frame.
Fig. 12 is a section taken along the transverse plane (25) of FIG. 11, showing the detail of the attachment of the frame to the flange of an inflatable boat.
The device shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 comprises a fin composed of a transverse horizontal part (1) and two vertical parts (2). This fin is fixed to a frame formed essentially of two side rails (3) themselves fixed to the sides of the boat (4). The fin is held on the frame by a pair of bearing hinges (5). In fig. 1, we see the front wing in the operating position under the dinghy. A pair of handle levers (6), integral with the aileron, allow the latter to be tilted into its boarding position, which we see in fig. 2. The locking pins (7) allow the fin to be locked in each of these two positions.
The rear spoiler has the same typical layout, with the addition of a pair of wheels (8) each attached to one of its ends. In fig. 3, the aileron is in the operating position; the wheels are above the waterline. In fig. 4, the aileron is in the towing position, the wheels having taken its place under the boat.
Fig. 5 shows the entire canoe with its two fins, in dynamic lift regime.
To increase comfort, it is planned to suspend the boat from the frame by springs (9). This is especially applicable to a non-inflatable boat, to replace the natural elasticity of the boat (see fig. 6). The springs are fixed at (10) and (11). The oscillations of the chassis can be absorbed by inertia dampers (12) such as they are found on certain cars and of which we give a section according to the plane (13) in fig. 7. A weight (14) is fixed in the shock absorber pot by a spring (15). The oscillations of the weight are damped by a fluid (16).
The fins themselves are obtained by bending a profiled bar made of aluminum alloy, in a general U shape, in which we find the horizontal part (1) and the vertical parts (2). See fig. 8.
Towing by an automobile is shown in FIG. 9. We see that the front wing is provided with a pin (17) fitting into a hitching post (18) integral with the car. It is possible to use a conventional ball reach by fixing the part which is normally located on the drawbar of trailers, in place of the pin (17), for example by means of pliers tightening the fin. Such a clamp attachment is shown in FIG. 10; here, the drawbar (20) is provided with a wheel (21) and a handle (23) for towing by hand, the tightening on the fin being provided by the screw (22).
Finally, the frame is shown in fig. 11. The cross bar (24) may be necessary to provide rigidity, especially when the boat is a rubber dinghy. The side members (3) are fixed to the slats by means of the bolt rope (26). See fig. 12. The flat part of the bolt rope is clamped between the side member and a backing plate (27) in a bolted connection.
