Abstract

The present invention relates to an assembly stud for an aluminium section, and more particularly an assembly stud used in compound wood/aluminium joinery for making doors, windows, etc. According to the invention, the stud includes a square pivoting base part 1 surmounted by a head 6 with a T-shaped cross-section; the said head being bounded by two faces 9 and 10 located on planes which are mutually parallel on the one hand, and parallel to the axis of pivoting of the base 1 and of the head 6 on the other hand; the two planes form, with the median axis 13 of the groove 7 of the section 8, an angle which determines the force necessary for locking the head in the groove; this angle is preferably between 45 and 90 DEG .
