Abstract

Reel of the type comprising two flanges 1, 2 and a central drum 3, characterised in that each flange 1, 2 is made by heat-and-pressure moulding of a pasty mixture formed by wood residues, such as chippings, and of a binder, such as glue, or of plastic, so as to exhibit a web 5 pierced through by a central hole 7, a series of diametral ribs 4, along its edge a tread 6 and on its inner surface means 12, 22 for centering the drum 3.
