Abstract

The signal lamp for a motor vehicle comprises a base fitted to the vehicle coach work and carrying a group of electrical lamps (2,3,4) separated by dividing walls (10) integral with the base. Each lamp is enclosed by a reflective surface (1,5) producing parallel reflected light rays. A single piece transparent cover (11) fits over all the lamps. A colouring filter (7,8) is associated with each lamp and a banded opaque filter, using parallel opaque strips (14) moulded into the cover (11), is associated with each lamp and colour filter. Parallel bars forming convex section lenses are moulded into the internal wall of the cover, focussing the incident light into the translucent zones of the cover between the opaque strips.
