Abstract

The multiple level shelving trolley has the upper surface fixed and the others articulated on multiple axes to allow rotation w.r.t. the chassis. Each shelf has a movable edge barrier incorporated in its thickness. Two shelves are hinged to each side via arms (18) connected at pivot parts (20). The arms are actuated with the aid of two levers (17) articulated onto the pivot points and sliding in guide rings (19). The ends of the levers can rest in hooks on the frame to retain them in a rest position.

Description

 The present invention relates to trolleys of the trolley type with two or three levels plus pu ensuring the transport and handling of bottle racks, cartons, cases and various packaging, with very reduced handling.

 In existing trolleys of this kind, the three levels are made up of fixed trays helping each other to increase handling, it is necessary to take out the containers to extract the contents, which requires efforts to be made in bad positions very curved essentially at the level lower where it is necessary to handle the often heavy containers and without handles up to the back of the tray and moreover the height between them does not allow to receive bottle racks, tall cartons.

 The trolley according to the invention makes it possible to avoid drawbacks since there is no longer any need to take out the containers, which avoids depositing them here and there in order to extract their contents and then put them back. It also offers the advantage of orderly work and time savings. When the two trays on the same side are inclined at 450, the carriage remains stable because the projection of center of gravity always passes through the lifting base whereas with trays on slides, there would be probabilities of tipping.

 When the trays are horizontal, the trolley also allows the same uses as a cnariot with fixed levels. It can receive containers corresponding to its total width.

 As shown, the device comprises a chassis painted in welded sections mounted on four swivel wheels (I) p I00 with plates, two of which are locked. An upper plate (6) provided with four retractable edges in the thickness of the latter in order to allow passage in certain freight elevators; each consisting of two or three small arms (7) and an edge (8) hinged and braked around axes comprising bolts (9) and washers, four plates (2) (4) straight and (3) (5) left with a width equal to half that of the carriage resting partly on the spacers (IO) and articulated around eight axes (II) allowing rotation relative to the chassis thanks to the holes (I2) made of one part in the side members (I3) of each plate and secondly in those (I4) of the posts (I5) of the chassis and welded on these.

 The said plates are maneuvered using two levers (I6) articulated on two legs (I7) and guided on two arms (18) comprising rings (19). The arms being articulated with the plates provided with two fixing lugs (20), allow the simultaneous movement of the four plates (2) (4) then (3) (5).

 The levers resting in the hooks (21) keep the assembly in an inclined position. Position which allows the contents to be extracted without lifting the tooth containers. Stability is ensured by a border (7) (8) (9) identical to that of the upper plate as well as two fixed edges (22) on the ends to avoid slipping during transport.

 The plates (2) (4) and (3) (5) are provided with a bottom (23) and a double bottom in laminated panels (24) fixed on the side members (I3) by a piano type hinge (25 ) liftable and resting on the one hand on the edge (8) and on the other hand held by two compasses (26) in order to also allow the trays to be tilted if there were any contents without containers to handle : stacked tableware, boxes, bottles, various haat objects.

 The device which is the subject of the invention can be used wherever there is need for handling cases, cartons and various containers, this for factories, shops, workshops and various storage stores, collective restaurants.
