Abstract

The rectangular socket has one part (2) for coupling with the male pin and one part (3) for fixing to the electric wire on which the part (2) is seated. The coupling part is formed from a plate which is bent at four corners making a rectangle one of whose sides has two folds which overlap partially to form an angle of about three degrees with the vertical giving the part elasticity for the introduction of the male pin.S The opening of the socket (4) has a flare (5) which forms an angle of about five degrees with the longitudinal axis of the socket, facilitating the introduction of the male pin. Clamping of the socket on the pin is provided by a boss set between the socket and the pin.
