Abstract

The fruit picking machine has a frame (6) by which it is mounted to e.g. a tractor. The frame supports a series of horizontal, parallel bars (12) which are positioned parallel to the direction of movement of the machine. The bars are oscillated transversely to the direction of motion by links (24) pivoted to a common drive shaft. Each oscillating bar carries an array of parallel tines (15) extending perpendicularly to the axes of the bars. These tines are inserted amongst the plants and shake the fruit loose. Am Archimedes screw (28) at the base of the machine receives the harvested fruit and feeds it to a collecting hopper.

Claims

1. Fruit picking apparatus, characterized in that it consists of
