Abstract

The steering rack for a motor vehicle has a section forming the rack and two end sections forming end shafts. One end of the rack section (6) is connected to the respective end shaft by a tube (10) with its ends welded around waisted projections, at one end on the outer end of the rack, and at the other end on the inner end of the inner shaft.
