Abstract

Parent patent was for a filter for the purificn. of cadaveric gases released from a metal coffin to avoid excessive internal pressure build-up. The filter comprises two filter chambers in series, the first contg. a liq. through which the gases are bubbled into a bell float. Gases are discharged from the bell float into the second chamber which contains a dry filter element. The second chamber is now equipped with liq. and a bell float instead of a dry filter element, which is more expensive if to be equally effective. Pref. the two chambers contain different treatment reagents. The exhaust from the second chamber is fitted with a droplet trap.
