Abstract

The plate is used on a wheel (4) using a key (18) operated cylinder lock (14) to secure the wheel disc (11) and prevent access to the wheel nuts (5). A metal frame (6) mounts a lock (14) and has an inclined leg (6A) for each stud (2). The external leg end returns are bored (7) or forked to thread onto studs beneath the nuts and a central key hole (8) locates the barrel of the lock (14). A lock nut (16) and a retaining flange (17) may secure the lock barrel in an axial disc hole. The latter has stiffened edges (12) and an anti-vibration strip (13). The lock (14) may use a double cantilever swivel bolt (10) to secure the disc to the frame.
