Abstract

The feeding trough comprises a frame, the sides (3) forming uprights and the ends (1) bent outwards. These are joined by cross pieces (9) holding the trough (2) above the ground. A roof (12) is also provided, together with side panels. A horizontal lower bar (5) is fixed longitudinally to the frames, at the level of the trough lip. A similar upper bar (4) is mounted on height adjustable brackets and supports another bar (7) which swings outwards (A). The gap is adjusted so that a young animal's head can enter but not that of an adult, the swinging bar preventing jamming.
