Abstract

The extendible caravan has an upper part (5) which is embedded telescopically in the lower part. Jacks move the upper part up or down, as required. There is a system to move suspended furnishings (38) towards the centre when the upper part comes down. Fittings are also provided for the lower part door to form a door post. The multiple part jacks are still very rigid when extended. The movement of the suspended furnishings is affected by rails (40) in the ceiling of the upper part and rollers (39) used for the suspension.
