Abstract

Carpentry system, intended to create an opening in a building wall, comprising at least one rigid frame accommodating an opening with vertical displacement, between a closed position and an open position releasing the opening, characterized in that it comprises: a primary rigid frame whose width horizontally corresponds substantially to that of the opening, and whose height is vertically substantially greater than that of the opening, preferably a length from the upper edge of the opening to the floor of construction; - A box (9) rigid, open on its two parallel faces, of substantially equivalent size to the opening, adapted to be fixed on the primary frame, and to accommodate said opening; - A panel member whose dimensions correspond to the lower part, close to the ground, the primary frame, and located substantially at the lower side of the box.

Description

TECHNICAL AREA

The present invention relates to a carpentry system or assembly comprising an opening, of the window type, with vertical displacement (also called "sash").

The invention relates more particularly to a prefabricated assembly (either in accordance with standard dimensions, or made to measure), to be integrated and associated with a wall overlooking the exterior of a construction, to form an opening of the window type. Said opening is possibly associated with other mobile elements, capable either of concealing it or of opening it, such as for example an interior blind, an exterior shutter or the like.

Said prefabricated assembly consists of several elements assembled together, in the factory, before its installation on said wall.

STATE OF THE ART

Window frames of known type consist of a simple rectangular or square frame, which has a certain depth, seen in the thickness of the wall where they are installed. This depth is all the greater as these frames incorporate, or are associated with, an exterior shutter and its winding mechanism and an interior blind or veil.

The frame, the sash, the external blind and the internal blind and the associated mechanisms constitute as many separate parts or elements, which come from different suppliers. They must then be brought to the site of the construction to be carried out. Their assembly on site takes time and represents manipulations, which must be carried out by specialized personnel.

In addition, the part situated between the ground and the lower edge of the window, either accommodates a projecting radiator, or is empty and therefore represents a lost space, whereas the use of a sash window aims, in the open position of the latter, to save space compared to a conventional casement window, opening along a vertical axis.

A carpentry system or assembly, or frame, including a vertically moving opening (known as a "sash"), must meet several requirements:

- limited weight, to allow easy and safe handling;

- easy and quick assembly and assembly;

- reduced size to adapt to any type of construction;

- solidity and tightness;

- free up space under the window (between the wall and the lower edge of the window).

However, these requirements are contradictory and no known system satisfies them simultaneously.

STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention aims to remedy this situation and proposes a system or assembly of carpentry for a vertically moving opening, which meets all of these constraints.

To this end, according to the invention, the carpentry system, intended to create an opening in a building wall, of the type comprising an opening leaf with vertical displacement and at least one rigid frame capable of receiving and supporting said opening leaf and allowing its movement vertical, between a closed position and an open position releasing the opening, is characterized in that it further comprises:

a primary rigid frame, including two vertical uprights and two horizontal crosspieces, the width of which horizontally corresponds substantially to that of the opening, and the height of which is vertically substantially greater than that of the opening, preferably of a length ranging from upper edge of the opening to the building floor;

a rigid box, open on its two parallel faces, of dimension substantially equivalent to the opening, suitable for being fixed on the primary frame, and for accommodating said opening;

a panel element whose dimensions correspond substantially to the lower part, close to the ground, of the primary frame, and located substantially at, or slightly below, the lower side of the box.

Said panel element is advantageously mobile, for example in vertical translation or articulated along a vertical axis.

According to a preferred embodiment, said panel incorporates display, television, screen, or similar means.

Advantageously, the system comprises an auxiliary rigid frame of dimension substantially corresponding to said opening, and capable of being associated with, or fixed to, the box, on the interior side of the construction.

According to an advantageous form, the auxiliary frame is capable of receiving and supporting an interior blind, preferably of flexible material, capable of being rolled up.

A third frame, called "inner frame" is provided, suitable for being fixed on the auxiliary frame and surrounding the latter.

More specifically, the box has a width, or depth, seen perpendicular to the plane of the opening, substantially equivalent to or slightly less than the thickness of the wall incorporating said opening.

Advantageously, the box is parallelepipedic and has four flat inner peripheral walls, one of which is a horizontal bottom wall, once installed.

More specifically, the respectively primary and auxiliary frames each have a lower horizontal wall, substantially at the same level as the lower horizontal wall of the box, so as to delimit, when the opening is in the low position, thus releasing the opening, a surface horizontal plane of depth equivalent or slightly less than the thickness of the wall.

An external shutter is provided, preferably with lamellae, capable of closing obscuring the opening, in a plane situated beyond the auxiliary frame, towards the outside of the construction.

The assembly comprises a box, or the like, providing a space, in the thickness of said wall, for accommodating means for winding and driving the opening (window), the internal blind and the external shutter.

A seal is provided, in contact with, or facing, the peripheral edge of the opening.

Advantageously, the seal is of the deformable and retractable type, between a first position where it is in contact with the peripheral edge of the opening (window) so as to ensure sealing, and a second position facing said edge. and back from it. More specifically, the seal is of the inflatable type.

The opening (window) is movable in its plane, vertically, by gravity, and the system comprises:

- means for braking and retaining the descent of the opening;

- means for driving the opening upwards;

- Blocking means of the opening in the raised position, that is to say closing the opening.

In addition, the system includes an exterior solar panel in the form of a flat frame, the interior edge of which substantially delimits the opening towards the exterior of the construction.

Finally, the system comprises a safety member cooperating with an electric motor and a transmission member fixed to the opening, so as to be able to drive said opening in movement, said safety member being configured so that when said transmission member has a voltage below a predetermined threshold, the safety device interrupts the operation of the electric motor.

Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method of installing an opening for a sash (window) with vertical movement, between a closed position and an open position releasing the opening, in a building wall, characterized in that it includes the following stages:

a primary rigid frame is erected vertically including two vertical uprights and two horizontal crosspieces, the width of which horizontally corresponds substantially to that of the opening, and the height of which is vertically substantially greater than that of the opening, preferably of a length from the upper edge of the opening to the building floor;

is secured to the primary frame, a rigid box, open on its two parallel faces, of dimension substantially equivalent to the opening, adapted to be fixed on said primary frame, and to accommodate said opening;

is secured in the lower part of the primary frame, a panel element, preferably mobile, whose dimensions correspond substantially to the lower part, close to the ground, of the primary frame, located below the auxiliary frame;

the leaf is placed in relation to the box so as to allow its vertical mobility;

the wall is made around the assembly formed by the primary frame, the panel element is the box, providing a volume, above the box, to accommodate means for driving and braking the leaf (window) .

According to a preferred form, an external flap is installed, preferably with strips, and its drive means in said volume.

Advantageously, before fixing the box, a rigid auxiliary frame of dimension substantially corresponding to said opening is fixed on the upper part of the first frame, and capable of being associated with, or fixed to, the box, on the interior side of the construction. .

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

Reference is made below to FIGS. 1 to 14, sequentially, to describe the different stages of setting up and installing the assembly of the invention.

In Figure 1, there is shown a rectangular primary frame 1, arranged vertically along these two long sides. The small lower side is arranged at ground level, symbolically represented by a line S.

For example, the primary frame is made of aluminum profile, and has a width of 120 cm, and a height of 250 cm.

The primary frame comprises two vertical uprights 2 and 3, and two horizontal crosspieces, respectively low 4 and high 5.

In the following description, the means for vertically holding the various elements have not been shown, during their assembly; these means are known in themselves.

With reference to FIG. 2, then, an auxiliary frame 6 is fixed on the primary frame. More specifically, the latter is arranged in the upper part and inside the primary frame 1. Its width corresponds substantially to the interior dimensions in width. of the primary frame 1, and its height corresponds substantially to, or is of the order of, half the height of the vertical uprights 2 and 3 of the primary frame.

The auxiliary frame 6 delimits an empty space of square form here, and called to constitute or corresponding to the opening "O" which must be achieved, thanks to the assembly of the invention, in the wall of a construction .

The fixing and / or assembly of the primary frame and the auxiliary frame is carried out by any known means, such as for example: bonding, welding, riveting, clipping, friction, etc. Similarly, in the description which follows, the means for fixing one element to the other will not be systematically described and are of a type known in themselves.

In the next step (Figure 3), fixed on the outer edges of the vertical uprights 2 and 3 of the primary frame, metal tabs regularly distributed, and referenced 8 for some of them in the figure. In addition, a board 7 is formed on the upper edge of the upper crossmember 5, of the primary frame 1, forming a kind of small horizontal deck.

The tabs 8 are intended to allow the assembly of the assembly of the invention to be mounted on the wall to be constructed (see for example FIG. 11) of the construction in which the assembly of the invention is integrated.

FIG. 4 shows a subsequent step in which a box 9, located opposite the auxiliary frame 6, is fixed on one side of the primary frame 1.

The box 9 consists of two lateral planar sides 10 and 11, and two horizontal planar upper 12 and lower 13 sides, in this case forming a square. The box 9 therefore projects from the plane of the primary frame 1 on one side thereof.

This side or this face is said to be “exterior” in the sense that it is intended to be turned towards the exterior of the construction.

The box 9 has, on the outside, a flange or return forming a flat frame, a few cm in width, and on which a seal 9A is attached.

On the primary frame 1, between the box 9 and the auxiliary frame 6, a supporting structure is fixed, forming a spacer, in the general shape of U open downwards. In this structure, is called to slide vertically, parallel to its plane, a leaf or window (not shown), between a raised position where it closes the opening O, and a lowered position where it opens the opening O.

Then, as shown in FIG. 5, a flat element or panel 14 is fixed on the lower part of the primary frame 1, and this on the face of the primary frame, called "interior", that is to say the face called to be turned towards the interior of the building.

The dimensions of the panel 14 are such that its width corresponds to that of the primary frame, and its height substantially fills the space between the ground and the lower part of the box (side 13) or the lower cross member 15 of the auxiliary frame 6.

According to Figure 6, there is then reported an inner frame 16, on the auxiliary frame 6, and on the so-called inner side, so as to surround the latter. The internal frame 16 may include light sources (for example of the LED type), facing the interior of the construction.

Then, with reference to FIG. 7, on the primary frame, there is reported on the upper board 7, a kind of tunnel 17, open on one of the lateral sides 18, in the form of a metal box. The width, in the direction transverse to the plane of the primary frame, of this tunnel corresponds substantially to the width of the box 9.

FIG. 8 shows the embodiment of FIG. 7, seen from the external side, that is to say from the side opposite to that of FIG. 7. A solar panel 19 has been fixed on the external face of the box 9 ( darker in color) in the form of a closed frame, the central open part of which corresponds to the opening O.

At the opening of the tunnel 18, there is shown a pulley 20 forming part of the drive means of the opening (window).

Figure 9 shows the assembly of Figure 8, seen from the inside.

In FIG. 18, there is shown, on the interior side, the assembly to which an interior blind 21, with rolling up, has been fixed, shown in the closed concealment position in FIG.

The next step is to build a wall, with known materials such as bricks, concrete blocks, or the like, on each side of the assembly of the invention. Thus, a wall 22 is produced on the left and a wall 23 on the right. For the sake of clarity of the drawing, the two walls 22 and 23 are only partially represented; they are actually extended on either side of the whole to constitute a wall or partition of a construction.

Vertical and side interior panels 24 and 25 of insulating material are fixed to the side walls 22 and 23, on either side of the assembled assembly.

Finally, with reference to FIG. 13, on the lateral insulating panels 24 and 25 and on the interior face of the tunnel 17, there are panels called to constitute the interior partition of the construction, respectively lateral left 26, lateral lateral 27, upper 28. Recall that Figure 13 is a view from the inside.

Similarly, on the exterior facade, see FIG. 14, there is reported a panel, facade, film, etc., referenced 29 and intended to constitute the exterior facing of the construction, leaving the opening and the solar panel 19 uncovered. , there is an external flap 30, preferably of the lamella type, to obscure the opening on the external side.

Figure 15 shows the assembly when completed, of Figure 14, partially and in cross section in a vertical plane, for clarity and understanding of the invention.

This figure 15 shows the elements described above and bearing the same references. The leaf or glazing "V" is shown in the closed or raised position.

Figure 16 shows a front view of the assembly once assembled, alone, without the partitions and walls, seen from the inside. The external flap 30 is shown in the partially lowered position, over approximately 1/3 of the opening O.

Note that the lower front panel 14 is provided, in its lower part close to the ground, with small lights referenced 31 to allow the passage of hot air or cold air, coming from a heat source (or air conditioning) disposed behind this same panel, in the form of a planar element of small thickness, which is not shown and is known in itself.

Figure 17A is a side view of the assembly of Figure 16 showing the different components. A mechanism 30A for winding the outer flap 30 is shown there.

Figure 17B is a detailed view of the circle referenced "J" in Figure 17A.

Figures 18 and 19 show the device of Figure 16, in perspective, respectively from the inside, and from the outside. The external flap 30 is movable in translation in a vertical plane located between the box 9 and the upper part of the primary frame 1. The external flap 30 is guided laterally by U-shaped profiles, one of which 30B is visible in FIG. 18 .

The assembly of Figure 16 is shown in top view, in Figure

20, without the upper apron 7 (FIG. 3).

Returning to FIG. 15, the internal frame 16 is designed so as to have a lower plane horizontal side 16A, coplanar with the horizontal lower plane side 13 of the box 9 to form, when the blind

21, the window or shutter V and the external flap 30 release or open the opening O, a sort of horizontal shelf, having an aesthetic appearance on the one hand, and functional on the other hand.

Referring to Figure 21, showing in partial section an embodiment, there is the presence of a strip of flexible material J, in contact with the horizontal upper edge of the opening V, playing the role of shock absorber.

In Figure 24, there is shown a seal 32 of the deformable type, and preferably connected to a suction means (such as a vacuum pump P). Thus, the seal 32 has two forms, namely one in expansion (32B), filled with air, where it is in contact with the peripheral edge of the glass, and the other (32A) retracted where it is disposed at a distance (a few mm) from said peripheral edge, to allow the vertical movement of the opening (window).

A mechanism, shown schematically in FIG. 23, allows the window to be lifted on the command of a user. This mechanism can also ensure the braking of the latter in its downward movement, for opening. It comprises a drive pulley 33, associated with an electric motor (not shown and known in itself), on which a transmission member is wound, in the form of a strap 34 (or alternatively a chain or belt) the lower free end 34A of which is fixed to the horizontal upper part of the opening V.

Advantageously, said mechanism comprises a safety member adapted to interrupt the operation of the electric motor to prevent any risk of damage to the opening or any risk of injury to a user. For example, the safety device is intended to interrupt the operation of the engine when a force whose intensity is greater than a predetermined threshold is exerted on the opening.

More particularly, in the example described above, the safety member is formed by a contact sensor 35 cooperating with the strap 34 and with the electric motor, by means of a lever arm 37. The free end of the latter bears against the strap, under the pressure of a spring 36. Thus, when the strap has a tension below a predetermined threshold, the contact sensor is deactivated and interrupts the operation of the electric motor.

Locking means, known in themselves and not shown, are provided to keep the window or the opening V, safely, in one or other of its extreme closed opening positions. These means may be a member preventing the rotation of the latter in one direction, so that the motor rotates only in the direction of lifting the opening.

In the space between the pane or leaf V in the low position (freeing the opening O) and the front panel 14, there may be a radiator or an air conditioner.

According to a preferred form, the panel 14 can constitute a flat display, television, projection screen, etc. As a variant, the panel 14 incorporates a video projection device for projecting images or a film onto the interior blind.

Claims (18)

1. Joinery system, intended to create an opening in a building wall, of the type comprising a vertically moving opening and at least one rigid frame capable of receiving and supporting said opening and allowing its vertical movement, between a closed position and a open position releasing the opening, is characterized in that it comprises: a primary rigid frame (1), including two vertical uprights (2, 3) and two horizontal crosspieces (4,5), whose width horizontally corresponds substantially to that of the opening, and whose height vertically is substantially greater than that from the opening, preferably of a length going from the upper edge of the opening to the ground of the construction; a rigid box (9), open on its two parallel faces, of dimension substantially equivalent to the opening, suitable for being fixed on the primary frame, and for accommodating said opening; a panel element (14) whose dimensions correspond substantially to the lower part, close to the ground, of the primary frame, and located substantially at, or slightly below, the lower side of the box. 2. System according to claim 1, characterized in that the panel element (14) is movable, for example in vertical translation or articulated along a vertical axis. 3. System according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that said panel (14) incorporates display means, television, screen, or the like. 4. System according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it comprises an auxiliary rigid frame (6) of dimension substantially corresponding to said opening, and capable of being associated with, or fixed to, the box (9 ), on the interior side of the construction. 5. System according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the auxiliary frame (6) is capable of receiving and supporting an interior blind (21), preferably of flexible material, capable of being rolled up. 6. System according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that a third frame, called "inner frame >> (16) is provided, capable of being fixed on the auxiliary frame and surrounding the latter. 7. System according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the box (9) has a width, or depth, seen perpendicular to the plane of the opening, substantially equivalent or slightly less than the thickness of the wall incorporating said opening. 8. System according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the box (9) is parallelepipedic and has four plane peripheral walls (10, 11, 12, 13), including a horizontal bottom wall (13), a once installed. 9. System according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the respectively primary (1) and auxiliary (6) frames each have a lower horizontal wall, substantially at the same level as the lower horizontal wall of the box (9) , so as to delimit, when the opening is in the low position, thus releasing the opening, a horizontal flat surface of depth equivalent or slightly less than the thickness of the wall. 10. System according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterized in that a space is provided above the box (9), in the thickness of said wall, to accommodate a mechanism (30A) for winding an external flap (30), preferably with lamellae, capable of closing obscuring the opening, in a plane situated beyond the auxiliary frame (6), towards the outside of the construction. 11. System according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that it comprises a seal (32), in contact with, or facing, the peripheral edge of the opening. 12. System according to claim 11, characterized in that the seal (32) is of the deformable and retractable type, between a first position where it is in contact with the peripheral edge so as to ensure sealing, and a second position opposite said edge and set back from the latter. 13. System according to one of claims 1 to 11, characterized in that it comprises: - means for braking and retaining the descent of the opening; - means for driving the opening upwards; - Blocking means of the opening in the raised position, that is to say closing the opening. 14. System according to one of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that it comprises an external solar panel (19) in the form of a flat frame, the internal edge of which substantially delimits the opening towards the outside of the construction. 15. System according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterized in that it comprises a safety member cooperating with an electric motor and a transmission member fixed to the opening, so as to be able to drive said opening in movement, said safety member being configured so that when said transmission member has a voltage below a predetermined threshold, the safety member interrupts the operation of the electric motor. 16. Method for installing an opening for a sash (window) with vertical movement, between a closed position and an open position releasing the opening, in a building wall, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: a primary rigid frame (1) is vertically erected including two vertical uprights (2, 3) and two horizontal crosspieces (4, 5), the width of which horizontally corresponds substantially to that of the opening, and the height of which is vertically substantially greater that of the opening, preferably of a length going from the upper edge of the opening to the ground of the construction; is joined to the primary frame, a rigid box (9), open on its two parallel faces, of dimension substantially equivalent to the opening, adapted to be fixed on said primary frame, and to accommodate said opening; is secured in the lower part of the primary frame, a panel element (14), preferably mobile, whose dimensions correspond substantially to the lower part, close to the ground, of the primary frame; the leaf is placed in relation to the box so as to allow its vertical mobility; the wall is produced around the assembly formed by the primary frame, the panel element is the box, by providing a volume, above the box, to accommodate means for driving and braking the leaf (window ). 17. The method of claim 16, characterized in that one installs an outer flap (30), preferably with strips, and its drive means in said volume. 18. Method according to one of claims 16 or 17, characterized in that, before fixing the box (9), is fixed on the upper part of the first frame (1), an auxiliary frame (6) rigid of substantially dimension corresponding to said opening, and adapted to be associated with, or fixed to, the box (9), on the interior side of the construction.
