Abstract
In order to ensure the operational safety of valves having electric actuators, functional tests are undertaken periodically. In this case, the electrical values of the actuator (3) are compared with values before the start of operation, and repairs are undertaken in the event of differences. The values are determined with the aid of a portable testing apparatus (15) which has programmes for the functioning of the valves (1). The invention is suitable, in particular, for valves in nuclear power plants.
