Abstract

The stopper (2) screws on the neck of the bottle. A slotted member (11) on the stopper (or the bottle) co-operates with a projection (7) on the bottle (or the stopper). The projection engages the member after the first movement of screwing of the stopper on the neck of the bottle. The projection and slotted member deform to permit the stopper to be screwed on fully and the projection engages elastically in the slot to stop the movement. The member disengages from the slot at the beginning of unscrewing movement of the stopper from the neck of the bottle.
