Abstract

Machine for the heat treatment of textile yarns arranges them in spirals on a conveyor belt and passes them through three chambers successively: a cooling chamber, a steam chamber, and a further cooling chamber. At least one feed device for a fluid under pressure is connected to the two cooling chambers, so that the pressure inside them is greater than the pressure in the steam chamber. A device for equalising the pressures of the two cooling chambers is incorporated. The arrangement of the invention limits steam loss from the steam chamber as far as possible.
