Abstract
The compact design of constant velocity joint has special knuckle joints (4, 5, 6). These joints are installed inside the spherical section (2) of the joint, with the end of the knuckle joint having shaped gear teeth (8) for coupling to a drive plate (11) in the hub (12). The constant velocity joint is compact and robust. The bearings (22) are set over the centre of thrust and the rest of the joint can be made from light walled components.
