Abstract

To permit a drive spindle having a universal joint 4, 5 to be connected to an end 2 of a rolling mill roll 1, a two part coupling 8, 22 is provided. When the two parts are fitted together the stub(s) 20 on part 8 fits into an opening 24 on part 22, cylindrical portions 16, 28 fit on to each other and ribs 30, 32 come into mesh to provide a drive connection. <IMAGE>
