Abstract
The drive shaft (8) for the front wheel drive has a hollow sleeve (14) on the inside end to engage a pivot coupling (17) on the end of the stub axle (9). The coupling absorbs axial vibrations from the wheels so that they are not transmitted to the stub axle. The sleeve and coupling allow flexing of the drive joint without loss of torque and provide a simple constant velocity joint with few components.
