Abstract

The extension piece (3) is flanged to the crankshaft (1) of an engine and terminates in a hollow tube section (6). Two circular end plates (8, 9) slide over the tube. They enclose between them a rubber sleeve (10) which fits over the dowel and two rubber rings (11, 12) which fit over the sleeve. The rubber rings grip the hub (13) of a fan wheel (14). When all these components have been pushed over the tube the end (6a) of the tube is turned out to form an end flange holding all the parts tightly together in the axial direction.
