Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase tightness and lubricity of a resin-coated layer by forming circumferential grooves in a body of a spline and coating it with resin to collect oil in every groove.
CONSTITUTION: Annular several grooves 1b which are circumferentially separated are formed in a spline 1a of a sleeve yoke 1. Using a fluid dip coating procedure, a resin-coated layer 2a, 2b is formed on the spline 1a and the grooves 1b. The thickness of the resin-coated layer 2b along each groove 1b is properly controlled to provided an oil collecting channel 2c in the layer 2b on the basis of the groove 1b. A part of an axial resistance force applied against the coating film 2a when the sleeve yoke 1 is axially slided is damped by a shearing force of the coating layer 2b so that the layer 2a may be prevented from peeling off.
