Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a maintenance-free cock by a method wherein its sliding surface is coated with coating materials having fulorine resin with oxygenzoyl polyester added thereto and silicon oil is immersed into the coating above.
CONSTITUTION: Fulorine resin solution is sprayed against the sliding surface 2 of the gas cock plug 1 to form a primer layer 3 having a thickness of about 10μm. Then, some coating materials having oxybenzoyl polyester added to the fulorine resin are sprayed against the primer layer 3 to form a film 4 having a thickness of about 20μm, thereby the film is baked and cooled. The surface of the film 4 is machine worked by a lathe to make a desired size thereof. The plug 1 is immersed into the pressurized silicon oil tank for 60sec and the silicon oil is immersed into the void holes. Under this arrangement, the coated film maintains a characteristic of lubrication and the immersed silicon oil is oozed out to keep an air tightness in the elapse of time to form a maintenance-free cock.
