Abstract

The new probe for measuring the partial pressure P0<u2>u in gases is provided with a measurement loop comprising a metal tube on the bottom of which is a pellet composed of a solid electrolyte oxide of which the anions have, at the ambient temperature, a transport member having the unit value. Inside the capsule there is provided a reference gas, outside the capsule is the gas object of the measurement. The electromotive force, resulting from the difference between partial pressures of oxygen, is measured on both sides of the solid electrolyte by means of two electrodes.
