Abstract

PURPOSE:To conduct an exchange operation of a solid electrolyte simply, by constituting a meter to allow a solid electrolyte cell unit having a shape of test tube provided with a flange inserted from the tip end of a probe and fixed. CONSTITUTION:A cell unit 4 consists of zirconia 5 having a shape of test tube and a flange 6 and it is fixed at the tip end of a probe 1 with a bolt 12. A porous electrode film made of platinum is formed on both sides of the tip end part of the zirconia 5 and a signal corresponding to the difference of oxygen concentrations of two rooms (the outside and inside of the probe 1) formed by the wall of the zirconia 5 is detected by this electrode. A pipe line 8b has an opening on the side of measurement gas of the zirconia 5 and an accurate calibration of the cell unit is carried out by introducing calibration gas from the pipe line 8b.
