Abstract
The suspension element is intended particularly for a trailer. It consists of a sleeve fixed to the vehicle with a rod sliding inside it. The rod is connected to a wheel and is surrounded by a helicoidal spring in the sleeve. The spring is compressed by the wheel load and rod and is held between two sliding rings. These slide between two stops at the sleeve ends and the rod has stops fixed to the rings. The distance between the two rod stops is equal to the distance between the two rings with the spring unloaded.
