Abstract

The pressure adjuster has its two pressure chambers formed by a membrane. The first membrane is connected via a ball pin to the rod. The second membrane has a ring with a ball cup. Pin and cup co-operate to form a ball and socket joint such that the zero point of the associated adjustment line does not have the kind of error associated with rigid couplings between the membranes belonging to the two different chambers. The shapes of the joint's components are chosen to keep the amount of material to a min. The pins can be of plastics.
