Abstract
The wind generator consists of an extended rotor with fixed blades (2). The long rotor may be sited horizontally or vertically and increases the energy generated for a given diameter. The air is guided to the rotor by shaped ducting (3) and (4) increases the air velocity at the rotor. The power output is regulated by dampners and excessive energy may be used to compress a gas in a container to release it when the generator is idle.
