Abstract

The device conducts the heat to a heating system (2) via a heat pump (1) which is connected to the device in the house and the evaporator of which is supplied with earth heat at low temperature by means of a closed auxiliary water circuit (4) with a circulating pump. This circuit runs through the outer region of a borehole (6) made vertically in the earth, of at least 6 cm diameter and at least 100 m depth, to its bottom and from there, in an inner pipe (8) with a low coefficient of heat transmission laid in the borehole, to the evaporator of the heat pump (1). The borehole (6) is insulated, in the upper region from the earth surface to 15 to 20 m depth, against heat absorption from the surrounding earth (5). The cold water flowing back from the evaporator is introduced by means of an immersion tube (12) 15 to 20 m below the earth surface (13). The auxiliary water circuit (4) can, without effects on the wider environment being feared, be installed everywhere. The heat pump achieves performance numbers of 3.5 to 4.5 with economical means.
