Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable starting, continuation and interruption of heat exchange of a heat pipe arbitrarily, by so constituting that one of two heat pipes is contained into a radiator part and a heat absorbing part of the other one into a box body heat exchanger chamber, and a thermal medium supply and drainage ducts are provided in the box body so that filling up and draining operation of the thermal medium is made possible. CONSTITUTION:A thermal medium liquid is filled up in a heat exchanger chamber 14 through a liquid supply duct 17 by closing a liquid drainage valve 20 and opening a liquid supply valve 18. When the left of a primary side heat pipe 15 which is not shown in a sketch is provided on a heat source part a thermal medium is heated by radiation of heat to the thermal medium. Then, a secondary side heat pipe 16 is actuated by heat absorption by a heat receiving part 16' of the secondary side heat pipe 16 and heat is radiated from a radiator part not shown in a sketch. Then, heat exchanger action is suspended when the thermal medium is drained by closing the liquid supply valve 18 and opening the liquid drainage valve 20. With this constitution, starting, continuation and interruption of the heat exchanger action can be carried out arbitrarily through supply and drainage of the thermal medium.
