Abstract

The seamed heat exchanger tube is fabricated from a strip of material (1) which is fed forward from the roll (3) through the tension feeder (13). The finds are made from a similar strip (2) also supplied from rolls of web (4) through a feeder (7). The strip of fin material are formed into square corrugations by the die (8) and fed into parallel alignment with the bare strip. The strip and fins are welded by the head (12) and the finned strip is then formed into a flat tube with flanges for seam welding.
