Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase heating surface area, as well as to decrease the weight of a tube, by constituting a heat exchanger tube by pinching a corrugated inner fin between two sheets of half body of a tube which is made of a sheet metal. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum sheet is press-worked to make a half body 7 for a flat tube, and between two sheets of which a thin inner fin 8, formed into corrugated sheet from an aluminum sheet by press working, is pinched in the state of sandwich. The side parts 9 of two sheets are jointed together in the manner that one end 7a of a half body 7 is calked onto the other end of a half body 7. Then, a tube 2a is bend-worked in a zigzag line. After that process, a fin 3, bend-worked in a zigzag line with a braze material of melting point lower than that of the fin itself attached to both surface of it, is arranged between the neighboring walls of a zigzag lined tube 2a. The fin 3 is brazed monolithically to the tube 2a by heating.
