Abstract

Les aciers possédant une haute résistance liée à une bonne ténacité à basse température sont rendus plus économiques à produire par l'addition de faibles quantités de cuivre, molybdène et chrome, ce qui réduit la quantité de nickel nécessaire à moins de 1,5 %. La ténacité à basse température est améliorée, sans aucune diminution de la résistance à la traction, par le maintien de la teneur en silicium inférieure à 0,1 % et de préférence inférieure à 0,05 %.
