Abstract

The flexible pipe coupling is used on pressure fluid feeds, comprising a pref. metallic pipe length (1) with coupling flanges (2a, 2b) built onto each open end. An endless cable loop (7) connects the two flanges, thus, allowing the unit to adopt different curvatures without increases in the axial length. The cable traverses idling pulley wheels (6a, 6b) which are fixed to the flanges, a typical arrangement using diametrically opposed pairs on each flange. The dia. locating the pulley axles (5) on flange (2a) may be perpendicular to that locating pulley axles on the other flange (2b).
