Abstract

PURPOSE:To draw an optical fiber easily into a pipe by inserting a moving body which has an outside diameter roughly close to the inside diameter of a pipe and is mounted with a wire for traction at one end face into said pipe, pressing and moving the same thereby extending the wire for traction. CONSTITUTION:A spherical body or circular cylindrical body of an outside diameter h2 roughly close to the inside diameter h1 of an aluminum pipe 1 is used as a moving body 2, and a wire 3 for traction is mounted to the insertion port side thereof. This body is pushed into said pipe from its one end and if the pipe inside is pressurized with air pressure, gaseous pressure or the like on the insertion side of the body 2, the pipe inside 4 on the insertion side of the body 2 develops pressure higher than that in the pipe 5 on the opposite side thereof, and the body 2 moves in the pipe toward the low pressure side so that the wire 3 is extended over the entire length in the pipe. Next, the optical fiber connected to this wire 3 is pulled, by which the optical fiber is led into the pipe. By such method, the optical fiber is easily drawn into the pipe.
