Abstract

Two rigid sections (1, 4) of the exhaust pipe are joined by a flexible piece (3) which consists of a strip of corrugated metal tubing. It sends are slipped over the ends of the rigid sections. A circular metal ring (2, 5) fits over each joint between the flexible and rigid sections. A cylindrical coupler (7) is held on the outside of the two rings (2, 5) and extends the length of the flexible connection. The coupler has an inner rubber sleeve (6) with an outer metal connector (3) protects the rubber against the high temp. of the exhaust.
