Abstract

The flexible bellows-type tube (21) for coupling to pipes has external toroidal sections (23) joined to the inner tube wall by curved portions (24). Adjacent curved portions (24) are joined to one another by slightly outwardly curved sections (26). When subjected to internal pressure, the toroidal sections (23) and the curved sections (26) expand, and if the tube is axially compressed, the curved sections (26) do not collapse inwardly.
